Arte na Vida

    Esta foto foi tirada em um espetáculo de balé que chamado “O Quebra- Nozes” que aconteceu em 16 de janeiro desse ano no teatro do Parque, com o balé da cidade do Recife (Minha cidade).

   Achei muito interessante a iniciativa de ser fazer uma adaptação de uma obra clássica e conhecida mundialmente, até porque Recife é uma cidade multicultural, cidade produtora de muitos ritmos populares como o frevo, o maracatu, o mangue beat, o embolado, mas a apresentação desse balé foi a prova que também temos espaço para produzir o clássico.

   Haviam muitas crianças no espetáculo e a pergunta que fiz a mim mesma foi: “Será que essas crianças, que são tão acostumadas com a arte falada, declamada, cantada prestarão atenção ao espetáculo?” A resposta para essa pergunta foi o silêncio deles e os olhinhos que não paravam de brilhar, encantados com cada movimento e com cada detalhe.

   A adaptação foi muito bem feita. As roupas dos bailarinos, normalmente em tons pastéis foram substituídas pelas cores fortes de Pernambuco. Era a nossa marca naquele espetáculo. O que deixou um pouco a desejar foi o cenário, que poderia ter sido até com o famoso “Fundo negro”, já que as roupas dos bailarinos já eram por si só vibrantes.

   O que dizer do espetáculo em geral? Emocionante! A música intensa de Tchaikovisky, os movimentos da coreografia de Balanchine, e o meu coração totalmente envolvido, trazendo à tona em mim uma série de sentimentos vibrantes, fortes e inebriantes.

This photo was taken in a ballet presentation that happened in Recife (the city I live), one week ago. It was an adaptation of “The Nutcracker”.

I have really appreciated the initiative of producing this ballet presentation. Why? Because Recife is a multicultural city, it is a city that usually produces different types of music and dances like “Frevo, Maracatu, Embolada, etc”, but this presentation is a concrete proof that we also have space and ability to produce classic ballet too!

There were many children there and I asked myself if they would pay attention to it, because those children are used to deal with a spoken language, how would they react with just music and movements? They loved it! The enchantment was in their eyes, they’ve paid attention to every movement and every detail.

The adaptation was very good. The costumes of ballet dancers, which usually wear light colors, were replaced by the strong colors of our state. It was our mark there. What would I say about the show in the end? It was exciting! The intense music of Tchaikovsky, the Balanchine’s choreography and my heart was there, completely involved. It has brought me a thousand of vibrant and strong feelings. Just like this…
