Arte na Vida / Art in life

Surpresa no Caminho.

A vida inspira a arte.

A Surprise on the Way

When you prepare yourself to go to a trip, even that is a short one, you think of the luggage, you think about how it will to be good when you arrive at your destination and how it will be good to meet your friends again. So you pack your things, you meet your friends, you get in the car, but in the middle of the travel you have a surprise: A stunning landscape!

It is late afternoon and clouds are trying to hide the sun, but some rays of light escape of them. For a minute you think you are watching a work of art in a museum, a paint that shows you a perfect evening, but then you find out that you are facing life with its beautiful and unexplained surprises. After that, you hurry up, you get your camera, take a photo quickly, trying to keep that little piece of life with you.

There is a perfect relationship between art and life. Life inspires art and art is able to keep a portion of life. This sample, this kept moment returns to those who live in order to remember the wonder, the joy and difficulties of life!

Next time you leave home, remember to look around, because while you’re concerned about getting on your destination, the surprise may be on the way.

Arte na Vida / Life in Art

                                             Art in Life

This photo was taken in a ballet presentation that happened in Recife (the city I live), one week ago. It was an adaptation of “The Nutcracker”.

I have really appreciated the initiative of producing this ballet presentation. Why? Because Recife is a multicultural city, it is a city that usually produces different types of music and dances like “Frevo, Maracatu, Embolada, etc”, but this presentation is a concrete proof that we also have space and ability to produce classic ballet too!

There were many children there and I asked myself if they would pay attention to it, because those children are used to deal with a spoken language, how would they react with just music and movements? They loved it! The enchantment was in their eyes, they’ve paid attention to every movement and every detail.

The adaptation was very good. The costumes of ballet dancers, which usually wear light colors, were replaced by the strong colors of our state. It was our mark there. What would I say about the show in the end? It was exciting! The intense music of Tchaikovsky, the Balanchine’s choreography and my heart was there, completely involved. It has brought me a thousand of vibrant and strong feelings. Just like this…

Vida Que Segue.

Flutuando...

Hoje estou flutuando sobre o mar...

Meus ouvidos ainda estão na água,

Posso imaginar os peixes vivendo suas vidas...

Posso imaginar os menores fugindo dos maiores...

E os maiores, fugindo de outros maiores...

Mas meus olhos contemplam o céu azul e as nuvens passando...

Meu corpo flutua acima de tudo isso...

Apenas respiro fundo e absorvo a vida...

:)

Floating...

Today I'm floating over de sea...

My ears are partially in the water

I can imagine fish living their lives...

I can even imagine the smallest trying to scape of the biggest ones...

But my eyes are looking at the blue sky and clouds passing by...

And my body floats above all these things...

I just take a deep breath and absorb my life...

I do absorb my own life as a dry sponge, which needs water desesperately...

Silence, please...

Life is flowing in me...

:)
